Hey Guys So I go back to see my foot doctor in two weeks. The reason for mine is because my hammer toe they infused they pulled out the rod to early and it didn’t heal properly and now it’s growing upward. I need advice has anybody had this happen to them? And if it has happened to you did you get have to get surgery? Thank you

I have a pin in my 2nd toe that will be removed on 1/9 (4 weeks after surgery) and it's causing a ton of nerve pain... how long did you have your pin in for?

I believe mine was 6 weeks

yeah I went from no weight bearing to boot and now back to no weight bearing since my toe is so sensitive. I can't wait for the pin to come out!

They fused it, not infused. Also, unfortunately it is normal to be healing upward. That’s how it is designed and how it heals. This happened with both of my second toes after fusion and healing. It will take a long time but it will eventually settle. I hope your recovery gets better.
