I had bunion and hammertoe surgery 3 years ago. Had issues with recovery due to having a reaction to hardware so it was all taken out. Now I'm having an issue with the toe that had the hammer toe surgery. Where the joint is fused, the toe shoots off to the right and on the left-hand side there's a bone sticking out. Does this mean that this is a failed fusion? It's progressively gotten worse over the last several months.
