people with fat pads that have moved or move around what do you do for pain? The fat pads have moved more towards the toes so I can't bend my toes properly when walking or sitting. So the areas where the fat pads were are now hitting the ground first making them sore as ---- (insert bad word here).

For what this may be worth to anybody, i use liquid filled insoles but I do not have fat pads on my feet (only my knees). But they are good for things like pain under soles of feet, neuropathy, etc. My feet land on liquid with them in my running shoes. They remove the "hard floor surface" when the foot lands with each step. Pricey but I got mine on Amazon. I think they are called Happy Feet, can't remember. But they have a few brands out there. These type of thin insoles have to be kept sand and debris-free to ensure they last the longest.

Lipedema? Lymphedema?

I am interested? Do you have a back problem?

no lymphedema just the fat pads for the base of the toes on the bottom of my foot have moved up higher towards my toes

according to my foot chiropractor I don't have flat feet I have weak muscles and tendons. I'm not going to do insoles other than what comes in the shoe I bought. My foot chiro recommended Hobibear shoes. A thin sock and the flexible large toe box Hobibear shoe is what I'll be using until told other wise. She said Crocs are ok for now but I should transition into the Hobibear. I got 6 pairs of thin ankle socks and a pair of Hobibear shoes for $62.62 on Amazon. There are some styles on sale right now

I have to have shoes made as my forefoot is too wide because of my bunion they have a rocker sole to keep some pressure off the ball of foot

lipo lymphedema here with hypermobility in joints feet, knees, hands, (and my shoulders too I think). My podiatrist said my bunions and hammertoes are caused by the hypermobility in feet. Andbwenknow hypermobility goes hand in hand for many with lipedema.

Yes, Hobibear have a wide toe box but I don't know of their durability. There are a few "barefoot" Facebook groups that talk about the best wide toe box shoes if ever you want to expand into other brands in future.

yes there are a lot of brands. My foot chiro wears them even though she has a different brand for sale at her office. Hobibear was suggested for me so I'm giving them a try
