So, I had surgery back on July, Wednesday the 8th and was back to the hospital on the 13th to deal with the wire that had worked its way out of toe 3. I was told this isn't that uncommon. It happens about 30% of the time, and even if it were to come all the way out, the new method of doing this surgery doesn't use wires at all. Anyway, my ortho surgeon cleaned my toe, clipped the wire and redressed the foot with orders to contact the hospital again if I see anymore wire. M
