Anyone else have pain on the Top of your feet?

Archive date 19 archived replies

Anyone else have pain on the Top of your feet? I've been struggling with this for several years. Only thing that helps is inactivity and cortisone shots. I can't keep getting shots obviously, because it deteriorates the bone. I've had my podiatrist make me fancy expensive orthodontics (which help). I have no neuropathy. (Tested with those electrical shocks on my legs). I'm at a loss. I need and want to be able to walk without severe pain. Anyone ended have this and figure it out??? (No real noticable swelling, sometimes though I see a faint redness bigger than a half dollar right on top). I'd blame the shoes, but I switch them up often and it doesn't seem to matter. When the pain is at it's worse, it radiates up my shins....

Hmmm, supposedly I don't have fallen arches... I'll mention it though. Thank you .

I have pain on top of my feet - diagnosed as severe arthritis after X-rays. I have custom made orthotics which help somewhat, but my feet are stiff and painful most of the time especially first thing in the morning or after sitting for an extended period.

I have tarsal tunnel syndrome in my right foot. The pain is on the top of my foot. My dr had me wear a boot at night. I also figured out that my shoes were to tight. I don’t have too much pain anymore.

Yup. I have pain in the top of my feet, and in metatarsals. High-arch feet. Never looked at properly when I was a kid, and now, at 57, the problems with high-arch feet have caught up with me big time.

I have a burning pain on the top of my right foot near the outside. Doc said it's arthritis.

Ive had x-rays say I don't have arthritis ugh. And mine hurt the very most after long activity on them. Worse after lots of walking... But thank you for offering a suggestion. I'm sorry you deal with this as well.

Yes, it’s not good as it affects our exercise and more or less everything which we do! I use topical creams and painkillers before walking - I hope you manage to find a solution, you have my sympathy!
