Day 10 after bunion and neuroma removal: early recovery update
Day 10 post op- I got to see my foot Wednesday and snapped some pictures- had to take my son with me and I made him sit in the chair turned around so he couldn’t see it- if you guy wanna laugh zoom in on his face in the one picture I totally did not know he was looking and his reaction is priceless!! Had to have an antibiotic called in yesterday and it was rather inflamed, red, and warm. and seems to be looking better today. So far I have yet to wake up in the middle of the night or even get a Charlie horse or cramp and even spasm so I’m like 100% sure the Neuroma removal was successful. It’s sore but toes are positioned nicely too- so far so good…. Just wish it didn’t hurt so bad

Wow , I had a neuroma removed years ago and incision was small and very little bruising . Bunion surgery 2 years ago , not as good of an outcome , Good luck with recovery
Did they change the dressing?
You have come so so far !
Wow, so much blood. I haven’t seen that before
Ok, this is creepy but I saw your Block O shirt and was wondering if you were in Ohio, and if so, who is your surgeon? (Ps Go Bucks!)
Can I ask what exactly have you had done ?
thank youuuu!!!!! I love my surgeon! He is absolutely amazing!
this was kind of big I think- how was your cramping and such after? All 4 of my toes were fixed and I had a screw removed from the bunion area- not sure why it was in there lol
no cramping after , but they did a gastric recession on my tendon at same time . Would get Charlie horses nightly for years . Not sure I would do that again as I lost 30% muscle
you lost it for forever?
yes
oh my gosh- so where in your leg? Your calf?
I have complete numbness in toes 4&5 now-‘it’s basically dead BUT no Charlie horses or cramping…
no those are all sterile strips… woukd if pulled on the stitches. Som have come off themselves…. A few more days and they will fall off by themselves and not cause irritation to the stitches.
I know!!!! I’m almost done and so happy!
yea under that is where a neuroma was dug out- and that little sucker caused me soooo much pain before this surgery!!!
