Hi! I had a bunionectomy in June 2023. She did not shorten my second toe which resulted in incredibly painful metatarsalgia. 2 years later and I’m still limping from it. It took a long time to get a correct diagnosis as the original surgeon said the pain was from a neuroma (MRI showed no neuroma) I had a second, third and fourth opinion and they all agreed that it was metatarsalgia from the second toe length.
