Does anyone have any knowledge / experience / thoughts on how another problem in the opposite foot could be affecting PF? I have a small bunion on my right foot. I’ve had it a few years and it doesn’t cause me much thought. Occasional discomfort and a slight decrease in mobility of that joint. My PF started in my left foot only about a year ago as my bunion became more noticeable to look it (no increase in pain or other though) It came to me that I wonder if the bunion has caused the PF in the sense that somehow, if only slight, my gait has changed for running, walking etc? I do wear a spacer for my bunion foot when I run or walk distances. I’ve had my gait checked while walking/running and been told it’s neutral by several independents… Photo of my poor feet! (Apologies if you’ve seen this post already in another group. Just trying to reach as many minds as possible! )

I can relate to that, 💯
I broke both my right ankle bones terribly about 8 years ago, and now get Plantar Fasciitis in my left foot only. Definitely think my change in gait from the break started the PF the first time around. Why it’s back again now after not having it for a few years is a mystery, just have to keep chipping away at it. Seems like everyone here experiences their PF cause and treatment differently
You're compensating for discomfort you are unaware of putting pressure on the other foot which will lead to issues.
Unstable right foot could change the loading / weightbearing on your left foot imo. Or a leg length difference could be behind both?
I have Hallux Limitus (almost Hallux Rigidus) in both big toes. I think wearing rocker shoes to ease that pain caused my plantar fasciitis.
I have exactly the same thing my left foot has the slight bunion and my plantar is so much worse in that foot i also experience sharp pains in toes..
Same thing for me!
