Extreme Delayed Pain Response: Is This Normal? Partially tore my spring ligament in October 2025. Today, if my midfoot flexes too hard or under load in plantar flexion or dorsiflexion, the movement doesn't feel too bad & I have no immediate pain during the movement or right after. But depending on the movement, that evening (7 hours later) or the next morning (18 hours later), the spring ligament complex starts painfully throbbing.
