Fellow plantar fasciitis sufferers: When going to the beach

Fellow plantar fasciitis sufferers: When going to the beach (if you do), have you worn your sneakers on the sand? Worn an orthopedic boot? My family wants to go. I sadly won’t be able to walk up and down the beach like last time (pain got worse after doing so). I just want to walk far enough to get to a spot to sit and then back to the car.
