Got results from MRI. Yes, to PF…. But I think that’s the least of my concerns! I have two more things going on. Something called tarsal co-ollition of sub tailor joint. Apparently I was born with it. Basically 3 bones on the inside of the ankle and one is fused to others and arthritis in the area. And….. have a longitudinal tear in the peroneus brevis tendon on the outer side of foot. That explains why I have had pain on both sides of my foot. Going to ortho specialists in a few week. Surgery may be in the future. Anyone else have these crazy things - other than PF? See less

Yes, I have a navicular-calcaneal coalition and was born with it in both feet. I’ve had surgery on both feet for tears in the peroneus brevis tendon. I’ve had to wear custom orthotics for many years

After months of going to foot dr- switching to a new one who was appalled I hadn’t been sent for an MRI YET- got results yesterday from MRI… yes I have PF, but also have a split in the longitudinal peroneous brevis tendon, tarsal coalition in ankle bones (which I found out I was born with!) & arthritis in that area. Well isn’t that all just grand!!!! Made an appointment for ortho foot/ankle specialist to discuss options but surgery may be in the horizon. Oh… I’m a teacher and it’s my right foot (no driving with a cast or a boot on!) Anyone with any experience with this mess?!? See less

I’ve been going through plantar fasciitis for three years and even had an open plantar fasciotomy on January 29. My foot still hurts. I have also never been sent for an MRI either before or after my surgery. I’m finally getting a clue and am going for a second opinion.
