Hello all! Thank you for the add! I joined in hopes for advice on some wide toe box shoes! We're trying to put off surgery until my youngest is a bit older (doc is who suggested it, thinks wide toe box shoes and insoles will help with pain until we can proceed with surgery) I ordered a pair of shoes off amazon, but they still seem a bit small in the toe area. Can anyone recommend a good pair? Should I size up? My feet ache all the time and I have dealt with bunions for years, but now my toes are starting to go crooked which is causing more pain (more so on my right) These were my diagnosis from podiatrist: Valgus deformity of both great toes Mononeuritis: Medial proper nerve bilateral Long second metatarsal bilateral Capsulitis: First and second metatarsophalangeal joints bilateral

Merrells were my go to before surgery and afterwards , love all their shoes from winter boots, sandals to runners , save me from major pain and I had severe bunion , second toe and plantar plate tear .. for years before I got my surgery 6 months ago, hiked and walked around Uk without pain with this brand and USA

Altra, so good! They offer some wides if you need them but I didn’t even with swelling post op. I have the lone peak 9’s because I walk on mud and gravel but they all have great reviews. Brooks are also good. I have the Glycerin 24 in wide and Ghost Max in regular width. For sandals try Taos and Birkenstocks.

Brooks sneakers are amazing. Wore them pre surgery on both feet. Had left foot done( major foot reconstruction). Not doing right for a long time and still wearing my Brooks. Propet is another great brand. Check out Orthofeet. They are orthotic wide width shoes. They have casual to dressy. Ultra comfortable! These have been my go to so far.

Alta or Topo both have nice wide toe box.

Hokas are awesome and worth the $$. I think I went up a 1/2 size.

I live in my Brooks before and after surgery!

Altra paradigm 7 or Torin. Topo is another brand. Both are great. My Topo shoes are a little more snug on my heel. These two brands have an actual wide toe box unlike Brooks and Hoka which do not

I've had good luck with Fitville shoes. They make the shoes wider and specialize in post surgery and bunions.

Some of the SAS styles are wide and double wide. They use elastic on straps and Velcro as well to adjust better to foot. Some styles have removable soles. Most all leather. Long lasting. Made in USA

Check out Ortho Feet website. I ordered a pair of sneakers post surgery and they have a wide toe box.

My daughter has bunions, first went to hospital when she was n her young teens, however, as her feet were still growing couldn't do anything. Now she's 18 and experiencing pain , she is on waiting list. Her consultant dud first say try wearing shie size bigger, but didn't feel walking round with trainers falling off feet woukd be beneficial fir her. Se has decided for surgery while she us young rather than interfering in her carer when older. She wants to be a paramedics and will probably spend lots of time on her feet x
