Hello, I've been suffering with severe and debilitating chronic pain in the ball of each foot for almost two years now. After seeing 12 podiatrists, the conclusion has been that my feet are fine. There is no need for fat pad injections, cortisone shots, or other strong anti-inflammatory medication. Instead an EMG revealed that I apparently have acute polyneuropathy. The pain management specialist I am seeing gave me some options, and since I wanted instant relief, a spinal cord stimulator was implanted to mollify the pain. The results were dubious, so we've graduated to using Quntenza over the course of the next 9 months to help reduce the pain. Should that not work, I've been exploring other options. I have heard that a supplement named alpha lipoic acid can be helpful. So, too, is cryotheraphy whereby the affected nerve endings are chilled to a temperature of -170C, resulting in a numbing. My reading on the subjects suggests that it can also be effective. I'm writing to see if others in the have suffered as I ave from acute foot neuropathy and to see what treatment options they have considered. If you have a moment, please let me know your stories. Thanks in advance.

I’ve started on lipoic acid about 4 weeks ago I also since Then have found that If you have insulin resistance and or liver issues it will affect the pain in your feet I just started working with a functional Dr to help me with my foot pain I’ve had for at least 15 years It’s gotten worse over the last year So painful it feels like they are broken I also have seen a rheumatoid Dr and had all the testing and saw a podiatrist and a neuro Dr with all of them Telling me I’m fine and the podiatrist telling me I have plantar fasciitis but I actually don’t and to buy insoles 😩🤨😡 I started healing my gut to help with my insulin and liver and I kid u not the pain in my feet are about 60 percent better !!! Could be the lipoic acid helping to
I used turmeric and vitamin d pills ..I get pain on the side of my foot.
If all fail, try this

I too have foot pain from my hamstrings and calcification in my left leg and I am 65 and let me tell you some days oh boy if I could replace my body parts and I had a million bucks if you could but I don't think you can so I understand about the foot pain it's a hell of its own
What type of alpha lipoic acid do you use? There seem to be different types.
I hope you find some relief
Thank you, Lisa. Hope your condition further improves.
