I developed this awful condition almost a year ago (thanks to my years of wearing minimalist sneakers). It got progressively worse over the winter. In March, I saw an ortho who after an X-ray and a super quick exam, diagnosed me with PF and told me to do stretches for 4 weeks. Did the stretches and no change. Saw a PA who questioned the PF diagnosis that the doc gave me because my pain gets worse as the day goes on, not better. I then wore a boot for 5 weeks. Took it off and after a day, the pain was back. In May, the PA gave me a cortisone injection. It lasted from May until last week. Now the pain is back. Like you all, I have spent a lot of money on shoes and inserts. I wear Oofos and Hoka’s. I am on my feet a lot of the day which doesn’t help. I just started to tape my foot and I’m seeing a chiro this week to maybe get shockwave treatments. Here’s my question. I haven’t had an MRI yet, but do any of you also have no pain in the morning but terrible pain at night? Could this be something else? I’m also looking for feedback on the shockwave treatment? Thanks!

I have pain in the morning as soon as I step on it. And thru out the day. I have had plantar fasciitis for almost 2 years now and had an MRI and I have a severe case of it. I have tried EPAT therapy custom orthotics several different sneakers. All the PT and stretches in the world. And the shots. I am headed towards a chiropractor now for shortwave therapy and wondering the same thing. I have spent a fortune and still nothing.
Sounds like tarsal tunnel/baxters heel. Its awful. Ive had since april!!
The pain depends on how much i walk. If i walk a lot i get much more pain in the evening. If i don't walk a lot yes the pain in the evening is less
