I was finally diagnosed as "Plantar Facial Fibromatosis" by a Pediotrist after 6 months of pain. I truly have researched everything i could find on the internet and tried almost everything you can imagine as far as creams and shoes just to get relief. I finally purchased an ankle wrap from Amazon a week ago and decided to wear it 24/7 for 3 months. Also mixed my own essential oils for pain and inflammation. After 3 days I'm already getting relief. I also never go barefoot as it just kills me so Im in shoes whether its Hoka tennis shoes with inserts or Hoka flip flops. I realize we all are different and this may not help everyone but if your like me...what does it hurt to try another method just in case. My essential oil recipe is very simple. I got a large glass roller and put equal parts of the following: wintergreen, Frankincense, almond oil. You can also add eucalyptus but I didn't have any. Also I will put a picture of the ankle wrap from Amazon. Hope this helps!!

I am looking at purchasing Topo tennis shoes. Has anyone else tried them for planter fasciitis? If so what type? After a year I feel like my feet are doing better from wearing Birks but still have a lot of pain in my left heel.

Our ancestors wore simple footwear made from local nature items like plant leaves, tree bark, and animal skin. Ancient people in warm places went barefoot or wore light sandals. People in cold areas wore warm boots made of thick hide and fur.Early Footwear TypesGrass sandals: Early humans in dry places wove plant fibers and grass into flat soles to protect feet from hot ground.Leather moccasins: Hunters in cold and wooded areas wrapped soft animal hide around their feet for basic warmth and shield support.Wooden shoes: Farmers and workers in wet mud carved solid wood blocks to keep their feet dry and clean.Simple wraps: Nomadic groups tied flat pieces of leather or cloth around their ankles with thin leather cords. Why Ancient Shoes Were DifferentThin soles: Old shoes had no thick foam or hard plastic parts.Wide shapes: Ancient footwear matched the natural wide shape of human toes.Flat design: Early shoes had no raised heels, which kept feet flat on the ground.Flexible materials: Soft leather and woven plants let feet bend and move freely with every step.Lems ShoesHistory of Shoes ā Lems ShoesJan 4, 2022 ā Before shoes existed, even in the simplest form, people walked around barefoot. Hi runners! I am post injection (second round in April, first was in 2023) in bilateral heels. My pain is predominantly gone, but what running shoes have you all transitioned to after it has resolved? I was wearing Altras then transitioned to NB 1080s. Iād like to go back to Altras but am open to other brands!
