I will be having bunion surgery soon as soon as I decide on a date. I am a runner but I am really saddened to know i will need to take time off. They will also do a plantar plate tear surgery. How many months until you were active again? More specifically, able to run again? DeAnna Lavine Backus Having a revision of my bunionectomy in a couple of weeks. The main screw is backing out. My original surgery was June 2nd, so my foot has not healed yet. Need a new screw placed. Anyone go through this & if so, how long was recovery for the revision? Gail McDermott Hi friends , I need to vent. My phone was not working and I needed help to get to spectrum. I used my neighbors home to call my son to help me. He never showed up . I’m wearing a surgical shoe not a boot. I drove myself to the phone company . Everything is ok now. I drive fine I’m 3 weeks out of surgery and not supposed to drive for 3 more weeks. I did it and I was fine . I’m just so frustrated that my family doesn’t help me when I n Ashley Ranum Is it weird that I wore slides (sandals) into my surgery on 4/29 and I still can’t fit my feet into them? I mean, not even half way width wise. It seems odd to me that I got bone shaved off and yet my feet seem wider. I can’t believe they could still be that swollen. My dr says up to a year, but really? I also feel like I still see a bump on the side, but I can see on the X-ray where they were shaved off. I will also add they were not Anne Johnson 9 days after MIS surgery (right side), my foot is suddenly feeling much worse - I can't have even a minute of scooting around upright before it becomes unbearably uncomfortable. The toes are all tingly and partially numb. Anyone can share if you had similar experience? When did it improve?
