As suggested I went to a new podiatrist this morning. He is on board with another round of terbinafine. Hoping it helps. I previously Completed a three month regimen in October. He said the one nail has very good new growth at the base howeber the other problematic nail don’t. This is the last hope besides maybe jublia after this round. Insurance don’t cover it so a lot of his patients haven’t tried it,he couldn’t say if it worked or not. It’s quite expensive at 1,500$ for a small supply. He cut, cleaned and filed the nails. They always seem to look better after . He cut too deep on one and holy the pain! It’s bandaged up till tonight but sooo sore now. For those of you that took oral lamisil how long was the treatment and when did you notice new growth or a difference? I’ve done topicals, tree tea soaks, laser all of it!

I’ve been doing Jublia for almost 10 months now and my toenail fungus is almost completely gone. I also do bleach soaks and apply bleach directly to my toenails and tea tree oil. I also file and cut back my nails every week to wear there is no fungus on them. I cut them back all the way. That’s the only way topical will work. You have to constant cut and file the nails.

One of the things I read helps with any medication for toenail fungus, is to buy a special antifungal soap that you wash your feet with a couple times a day and then do a foot soak for 30 minutes at least once a day with peroxide and water.

i may ask my dr for a julia script, even though he says it's not very effective. it's expensive but i've got a prescription drug plan on medicare. i do a minimum of 30 minutes vinegar soak every night. i keep my toenails very short. in the morning, i apply a mixture of MCT/DMSO every morning. overall appearance is good, so good that i'm able to wear flip flops without embarrassment.

$1,500 for which one?

I went through a 3 month cycle of Lamisil last year. It was clearly evident it was working but 3-4 months after I finished it, the fungus retuned. I’m trying some other stuff right now but if I don’t see improvement in 3-4 months I’m going to see if I can do a longer round.

Both Jublia and Lamisil don' have very high success rates, that's what my dr. said. I thought it was like 30%.

Thank you. I’m happy to see positive feedback for it. I know not everything works on everyone but I’m willing to try it.

, do you soak your whole foot? 🙄 I’ve done many different types of soaks with my entire foot and sometimes it irritates the skin.

I didn’t pay that much.. I bought it at my dr office for $60 with a 60 day guarantee that if we didn’t see any improvements i get my money back… I got my money back, It didnt work… This was 4 yrs ago.. It couldn’t have jumped up in price that much….

The pharmacy quoted the price about a year ago as well when a different podiatrist was going to let me use it..1,200$! If it was 60.00 near me I would most def try it.
