Could this be fungus? I had a neurectomy is January and lost feeling in this toe. Since then it’s always dry and under the nails looks possibly lifted. Barbara Jahn We just saw my sons Podiatrist yesterday, to have his nails trimmed, and check on his toenail fungus. He is 34 years old, and has Down Syndrome. He has a lift in one shoe, and plastic inserts in both. I wonder if that situation has contributed to his fungus.... He had a terrible case of Athlete's Foot, since last fall, that I, successfuly treated, with vinegar/water soaks, and Tinactin spray. We have been using Tolcylen, a topical med Shawn Marie I got my toenail culture results back and it showed fungus and yeast. Trichophyton rubrum and Candida albicans.
