What's one thing you're grateful for right now? Anonymous member I haven’t the heart to file constantly away at my toenails. I go to a podiatrist for treatment. Boiling infected socks (and face towels, used to dry the feet after a shower) for ten minutes will kill the toenail fungus spores completely, according to online information. (As will the sanitation cycle of a washing machine if you have it.) I’ve been boiling several pairs of 100% cotton socks at a time for 10 minutes in a stainless steel Jane Young I recently gained access to my fungal laboratory test results from a year ago. I have had onchomycosis for 10 years or more and to say I am more frustrated than ever. Unbeknownst to me, what grew on my culture was a non-dermatophyte called Alternaria species. It is a mold (not a fungus) and responsible for less than 15% of infections. Alternaria lives in the environment. Commonly found in soil, and also known as black mold that ca Melanie Jones Toe FX???? Two fungal toes (third and fourth) on my right foot. Laser did not work several years back, but nothing was debrided. Trying Toe FX. Had this pesky problem for six years. Anyone find luck with it? Wendy Balder 1st photo: I was told all 10 nails were infected. 2nd photo is after the last of three laser treatments 6/25/26, along with “Fungifoam” creme and a topical liquid with antifungal and antibacterial properties, 2x daily, then 1x daily after the last laser treatment. I see the podiatrist almost a year after the first treatment, which was in February, after most of the new healthy nail has kicked out the old, sickly one. It’s expensive but beats taking the oral treatment which is 2 days ago 6 days ago August 8 at 6:41 PM Learn More August 8 at 5:41 PM Learn More
