Question for runners that have gotten the surgery. Thinking

Question for runners that have gotten the surgery. Thinking of getting it done, they are usually not painful if I wear wide toe box sneakers and sandals. They hurt (a lot!) in heels and pointy shoes. A chiropractor told me not to get it done because you need to be able to push off the big toe when you run, and you canโ€™t do that with the screws they put in. Any runners here have any thoughts on this? Also, how soon did you start running after the surgery? All reactions:
