ETA: Finally home from the hospital. I am allergic to anti-inflammatory drugs so my surgeon wrapped it loose to allow for swelling and I was given an extra nerve block that will hopefully last for 48 hours. Happy healing everyone! About a year ago I had lapidus and a tendon release for hammertoe on my second toe. Recovery was long and frustrating, but smooth, and I am back to normal. Tomorrow I will say good-bye to my little friend on my right foot. I am definitely not excited about going through recovery again.
