I was still in a boot at 8 weeks. Started to walk in a shoe at 10 weeks but had a bad limp and it was painful. Started PT and I've had 6 sessions. It's made a huge difference. No limp, I'm walking on the treadmill with no pain. My doctor told me that I will notice the biggest improvement between 3-6 months. This surgery will definitely test your patience. I'm at 16 weeks and finally feeling normal.

Almost 9 weeks post op. I am walking almost normally, but still mild discomfort when applying full pressure on the big toe side. I had lapiplasty. My ankle was and still is slightly weak

Have you went through physical therapy? Definitely going through physical therapy and religiously doing the exercises will help with better mobility.

Yes! I also had ankle surgery too which I'm sure isn't helping. Go tonight to pt eval. Having difficulty moving my toes and they aren't staying in place. Was given a tens unit to try and wake up the nerves too. I'm still in a boot mainly cause I have swelling and can't get into a shoe. But I've been doing some non boot time walking barefoot and need to use crutches to help off set the weight. Dr had me in an ace too to help with the swelling but told me I could stop that. I'm unsure that was the best move. Swelling is happening and now my ankle is sore and stiff.

I am 10 weeks and can walk. Going to PT ..morning stiffness is tough.

I'm 7 weeks. Course I have only been in a boot for 2 weeks with limited amount of time to be up (1 hour total) rest of time elevated. My big toe has some stiffness.
