I can't do this anymore.

Archive date 18 archived replies

I can't do this anymore. My foot hurts with arch supports, without arch supports, with the boot, without the boot. I hate staying indoors all the time, not being able to do anything. All my sneakers make my feet hurt, I have Brooks, Asics and I've tried every darn pair on in Fleet Feet and Dicks Sporting goods not to mention the local shoe stores. I can't work my job. I give up.

You really need to try taping your feet with Kinesiology tape. There are YouTube videos that show how to apply it for PF. It will get you thru your workday. It's a game changer, I promise

Massaging my arches and calves has helped more than anything for me. I also use a foot cream in the morning before work.

Try shockwave, free here.

Meloxicam has helped me greatly but not a permanent solution

Birkenstocks felt good once they molded to my feet. Croc massaging slides helped too. Hiking boots with generic hard arch inserts worked well for daily activities. Cold pressed castor oil on your feet every night with socks. Took me 2 years to get better without surgery. Stretch & strengthen. You need both. Tape your arches &/or wear ankle pf compression socks.

I'm thinking about trying Kuru shoes

Have you had scar tissue and adhesions broken up? Nothing will feel good to you if these are beneath your feet and along Achilles. This would take focused shockwave (not radial), active release technique, and graston. MRI would check for tear, fracture, and nerve entrapment.

It’s not your heels that are the cause of all this pain for you, it’s your calves, possibly knees even hips, your PF is the cause of something else, stop treating your heels and look at what’s caused this pain to your heels, I tore my calf muscle two years ago it’s totally because of that I have this problem, but I’ve actually turned a corner, tumeric tablets, glucosamine, and magnesium powder have played a huge part in my recovery as well as strength training with no jumping, there is hope trust me 😊
