I had ankle/foot surgery.
I had ankle/foot surgery. The surgeries I had were peroneus longus to brevis transfer, excision OS peroneum, and lateralizing calcaneal osteotomy. I was told my recovery would be 6-12 months. Well it's been over 14 months and the pain is 10 X worse then before I had the surgery. Standing and walking on it for any length of time is extremely painful and causes my ankle to bulge out. Any suggestions on what I can do to help alleviate the pain besides putting it up, icing it and taking anti inflammatories? Thank you in advance.

What does your Dr say? Physical therapy not helping?
I'm so sorry..I've had 5 foot surgeries since 2015 and my pain is way worse now then before I had the surgeries..I wish I could go back in time and never have done any of them. 😪
pt did not help, she actually put me on parallel bars and had me put all my weight on my bad foot on one of those balancing boards which caused a shoulder injury, after I told her my shoulder was killing she put me on the total gym which made my knee injury worse. I did not go back to her. After that I went somewhere else to have pt for my shoulder. Then I had an mri of my knee and found out I have grade 4 chondromalacia so I was supposed to go to pt for that as well but that had to be put on the back burner as I just had to have another surgery in which I still have another 4 weeks of recovery.

that is awful, I'm sorry for you as well. I too wish I hadn't had it done.
