Im at 10 weeks post lapidus akin bunionectomy. Anyone else at this time post op can te me how everything is going for you. I have a couple things that are bothering me and im not sure if it is norm and need reassurance. The upper part of foot still hurts. Across all toe joints when applying pressure while walking. I also am still working at my toe working better or moving better. The big hard bump i felt on bottom of foot has mainly gone away. So that's a good thing. See less

I’m 12 weeks and my progress is similar. Still have swelling and stiffness but I’m functioning well. Back in my regular sneakers. I’m going to PT which is helping but pretty sore the day after. Still icing. I’m older so I know it’s going to take longer.

Jenn Organsky I am on 11 weeks and still have swelling. But PT is helping so much. Exercises and massage are allowing me to walk without a limp for most of the day. They say still ice and elevate above heart too.

In 4 days I will be 8 weeks post op from lapidus akin bunionectomy, today I was excited that my shoes was able to be tightened alittle more. Meaning less swelling! I still struggle with walking correctly. I favor leaning on outer side of foot rather than straight. It still feels like a hard knob under ball of foot/toe. Super sensitive on top of foot but improving. I walk good on carpet and in shoe. But if barefoot and on hard floor it is weird. Toe is still tight but that is also improving. Starting to feel back to norm again. See less

That looks great! I think we had surgery around the same time (11/14) and I should be getting into shoes next week. I am soooo nervous! I don’t have a ton of movement in my big toe joint (about half of the non surgery side) but I guess that’s normal?!

Same here! Ball of my foot under big toe is super awkward trying to walk with flat foot on the floor is not happening yet….but soon!

Does anyone else have this annoying feeling of a rubber band pulling tight in between big toe and second toe? Or something is in between the toes? Im Pretty sure its the ligament that was snipped ans stretched. It drives me crazy. I meant to ask doc about ot and forgot.

Hoika YES! 4 months out and I'm super stiff still and have the rubber band sensation. So, is massage key? Asking because I stretch and workout everyday, it feels like ground hog day every day. LOL!

Yes 100%, I’m 8 weeks and it’s annoying as hell. Feels like there’s something in between my toes.
