We are planning to travel 12 weeks after a Chevron and Akin bunion (hallux valgus) surgery. Our flight is about two hours long. Has anyone had any experience with flying around 12 weeks after this type of surgery? How did it go? Were you able to walk comfortably during your trip? Louise Yogini Day 35 post-op, 4th day doing physical therapy exercises. After I did my PT exercises tonight, I massaged my foot the way the PT did, very gently. And I got a crack! Felt so good. My foot is coming back to life! I highly recommend PT. Louise Yogini Day 34 post-op. Walked the dogs! Not far, just around the block. I have been scared to do this because they are pullers and take off after bunnies, squirrels, etc. They pulled hard once, and I did not lose my balance. That was scary but also gave me confidence. One of the life things I have missed is walking them a few miles a day. It all starts with one around the block. Today is my third day of doing PT exercises, and I feel like mobility is retuning slowly. It is not to Ricky Superbee Goubert 12 weeks post Akin Osteotomy surgery on my left big toe and 7 months post surgery on my right . I’ve been wearing my fancy Pumas 9 weeks post surgery for the left one and just got a new pair . Spoke to the surgeon after 9 weeks and he cleared me for gym and my 10000 steps a day walks. I’ll see him for X-rays in September but no issues . Pain was fine 2 weeks after surgery and no issues at all . Swelling is gone too . Just posting this to say not everyone is the same. Right to
