I started PF stuff in March. Recently got the sock/night brace to keep toes up and stretch. I now apply voltaren layered with tiger balm, put on a sock and then the brace thing. It has helped by 35-45% pain reduction. And I wear shoes mostly till I go to bed and adjust the laces so my foot doesn’t rub or shift in the shoe. When I’m walking I’m paying attention to core engagement. So that the weight distribution is even. Vincent Hoffman I have been battling PF in both feet since around January 26’. Primary Dr. recommended Spenco inserts that worked for him. Said I’d be over it in a couple weeks. Got them in February. Provided little relief over the next few months. Got referred to a foot guy, wanted over $500 for leg brace/boot, more for inserts, and never sent me therapy information. Found a boot on Amazon for $35. Felt good for 30 minutes at a time, but seem Cynthia Lubenow I've never had foot issues. After about a year of working at Chick Fil A my feet started hurting. I figured it was because I was using cheap Walmart shoes for the past year. I've recently heard it could be peri menopause. I'm 47. My heel hurts into my ankle. I also get radiating pain in my heel, ankle, balls of my feet and sometimes into my calf after a shift at work. I love working there and don't want to quit, but I'm scared it coul Rebecca Hatfield-Haines Just invested in a pair of Brooks Launch shoes. The sales lady at the store was wearing them and she said they had helped her PF. Other than my ingrown toe nails, they are feeling good. I just have some foot fatigue from not normally wearing structured shoes to now wearing more structured shoes. Anyone else have these and find them helpful? Rebecca Hilliard I’m hoping I don’t have to row back on this but I feel I’ve had a result….I’ve just spent 2+ weeks completely resting. And I mean really resting. I know I’m lucky to have the chance to do that but I’ve been able to do fewer than 500 steps a day. I did the strengthening exercises (plus some for hips/thighs) multiple times a day. I always had an arch support on when walking barefoot (big band of elastic with arch pad). Result: last 3 mo Julie Mendell Lumpkin Hi, fellow PF warriors! I’m a few months into this, am in PT and am doing the calf stretches/strengthening and balance and foot exercises. My pain is bearable in my Birkenstocks, but, unfortunately, I can’t wear them at work or in my volunteer position. My PF pain is the worst in supportive shoes (Altras) with my Powerstep insert. I must have a wide toe box, so some shoes are not workable for me. Has anyone else experienced this? Kelly Townsend What are everyone’s opinions about being barefoot/wearing footwear indoors? Iv had flat feet pain and planta in both feet now for a year. Doing the exercises, customised orthotics and now they’d like me to do shockwave therapy. I’m a bit hesitant about that as some people have said it’s made their pain worse and I’m trying to see what else I can do to help. Iv looked into getting a foot sleeve, calf massager, multivitamins ect and Dane Burmester Read This… Your feet have 26 bones in your foot, 19 Intrinsic muscles and approx 20 extrinsic muscles and tendons.
