Has anyone had surgery to remove Tailor’s bunions? I’m curious about the recovery. I work on my feet and am wondering if the recovery takes a long time and if you had full recovery. Is there swelling long term? How long did you have to be off work?

Patty Dennehy Had mine done 3 years ago. I just couldn't take the pain and swelling anylonger. I had MIS no pins. I was off work for a week then back to Work with boot and crutches. Glad to be rid of it

Answer as Justin Konnie Reed Hopson posted to Forefoot forum: Bunions, Hallux Limitus, Tailor's Bunion, Hammer Toes. I need a new pair of hiking shoes. Can anyone recommend a shoe that is wide enough to accommodate the tailor’s bunions? All reactions:

Comment View more comments Sherri Adamski Dyck I am having the same problem. I have a pair of x wide men's boots coming soon. Hopefully they will work. Women's are just not wide enough. Men's are a size wider than women's.. I have a pair of xx wide women's but the Tailor's Bunyan grew and now I have to wear somewhat thin socks and take out all cushions to get them on and they are still somewhat uncomfortable. So frustrating.
