Wow! I am in the same situation and keep getting different answers - or no answers. Like you I am in pain all the time. Tests do not show anything except metatarsalgia which is a catch all with no real treatment. So frustrating and depressing.

I am hopeless at this point.
I am hopeless at this point. Awhile back I was seen for the pain in my feet hoping i’d get a straight away answer. I was told I need to see a podiatrist and that I have flat feet which can cause the pain I am feeling, and that the only thing that’ll make me feel better is a sit down job... I finally scheduled a podiatry appointment after months of procrastination due to not having insurance. They also told me that I have flat feet as well as plantar fasciitis, possibly achilles tendonitis, and arthritis. They gave me a list of stuff to buy, do, and use. Well, none of these worked. So they did X-rays and those showed that nothing is wrong.. I’m just lost and don’t know what to do. Pain I have: -Numbness/Burning on entire bottom of feet after being on feet for a period of time. -Ankle gives out, causing my whole leg to basically collapse (could be when i’m walking or just standing still). -Ankle tightens up as if i’m having a cramp or something making it impossible to move it without aching pain. -When I raise my leg up and down while sitting or standing, it causes a shocking aching pain throughout my entire ankle. It is mainly in my left foot but also happens in my right foot as well. I just really need some advice, I don’t want to keep going to different doctors and nothing gets better and keep paying out of my pocket for nothing to work. It’s very frustrating. TIA edit: this has been going on for 3 years now and i am over it!!

This is who helped me the most. Proper orthotics and shoes, with toe socks ✅ It is a long process, slowly wearing the orthotics to allow your feet to adjust. I got an OTC insert SuperFeet to wear all the time in Topo shoes and slowly added my custom inserts, started with 1/2 hour a.m. and p.m. Once the Podiatrist has ruled out anything serious, like a fracture, it’s about slowly adjusting your foot to proper balance, which will distribute the weight and pressure evenly across your foot to get some relief and healing. Absolutely no tight, narrow shoes or walking barefoot. My “treatment” was surgery, than during rehab I fractured the 2nd joint in the bottom of my foot, I have a spur in my big toe joint, along with a cyst inside the now healed bone, and a fractured sesamoid! I am super healthy but 65 and have osteoporosis, which complicated things i.e. fracture. That foot pronates horribly (which started everything) and I unknowingly was wearing too narrow shoes which made everything worse 😔 6 Doctors and 3 PT’s later, all with six different opinions, all reading the imaging differently!, all recommending different treatments 😵💫 I even paid for Specialists outside Kaiser💰 It’s been two years, my fractures are healed, but I just “manage” my condition with proper shoes, inserts and toe socks 😐 The feet are super complicated, and we eventually have to bear weight, it’s not like we can let them rest for a prolonged period, like other injuries in the body. Most regular Doctors or Podiatrist will not evaluate your foot for problems, imbalances, gait abnormality, and that’s really what you need, which is a Pedorthist ✅ I think I replied to your post before- but maybe this will also help others Good luck ❤️🩹
Same..no answers & it’s been 10 years
Have you had ultrasounds or CT? My x-ray showed mild arthritis and heel spurs, but nothing else. It was the ultrasound that diagnosed plantar fasciitis and Morton's neuromas etc etc.
