I’m honestly am at such a loss at this point. Back in December I got Metatarsalgia type pain in both my feet, and then started to get heel pain. Tried orthotics, and they weren’t of much help. Went to PT and they did a massage, made my feet worse. X-rays were normal. Then I tried acupuncture, a more holistic approach, and my acupuncturist hit nerves in my legs and feet, and now I have nerve pain in my toes. I keep trying to help my feet and they keep getting worse. I’m just so exhausted from this chronic pain and am at a loss on who I see now and am trying not to panic over the nerve issue.

My chiro helps my foot pain tremendously. Also get a massage gun and learn where to use it…for my foot pain, calf is best

I have a similar problem. Metatarsal pain in one foot, then the other. Went to 2 podiatrists who could not diagnosis it. Then the pain started in the entire bottoms of both feet - heels, arches. Then I went to an orthopedist who specializes in feet. X-rays, MRIs, lower back MRI all normal. He sent me for custom orthotics (almost $600.00.) They did not help. The pain does not feel like neuropathy. Don't know what to do next. Have considered acupuncture, massage, etc. I have tried different shoes recommended by the podiatrists. It's affecting my whole body because I just lie around. I have traveled around the world & now I can barely walk to my car. Thanks for reading.

I am in the same boat so sorry even did injections of cortisone in ankles but it is arches and the whole foot which the pain doctor could not understand

Sorry this is happening. It really sucks. I have Neuropathy and Plantar Fasciitis. O have high arches. I used upstep insoles. They helped a lot. The Dr.schols machine works great. I can't take Gabepenten. O hope you feel better

I too have been in chronic and severe pain in the ball of my feet for 17 months now. Luckily, told me something about fat pad tissue atrophy and the doctors who treat it. Not sure if you've had MRIs or not and whether they've eliminated the possibility that you have neuromas. If so, then it could that your fat pad has worn so thin that it's because nerves on bone with no protective layer in between. Claudia helped me get in touch with some folks at Leneva or MTF Biologics, and they can help you search for a doctor in your local area who specializes in this sort of treatment. I'm still trying to figure out whether I'm a good candidate for it, but right now it seems like the most plausible thing to follow. Please let me know if I can provide any additional info.

You see a neurologist and a pain control Dr recommended by your neurologist as she develops your TX plan. There are physical rehab people your pain Dr can perscribe who perform desensitization treatments. Good luck

I just found out about Foot Pad Restoration however there are not many doctors that know about it or perform the procedure. They take fat out of your body and put it in your foot. I am hoping more Podiatrists learn about this. It would be a life/game changer.
