Hi, my 11 year old has been diagnosed with this in one foot. She is in so much pain, I dont know whatvtondo for her. We have done rest and ice, which has not helped. She can't do any stretches as too painful, and struggling to walk. Tonight I have put a strap on her foot and changed from ice to warm. Any ideas what I can do to help her plz. Shared post Rebecca Hatfield-Haines Just invested in a pair of Brooks Launch shoes. The sales lady at the store was wearing them and she said they had helped her PF. Other than my ingrown toe nails, they are feeling good. I just have some foot fatigue from not normally wearing structured shoes to now wearing more structured shoes. Anyone else have these and find them helpful? Shared post Julie Mendell Lumpkin Hi, fellow PF warriors! I’m a few months into this, am in PT and am doing the calf stretches/strengthening and balance and foot exercises. My pain is bearable in my Birkenstocks, but, unfortunately, I can’t wear them at work or in my volunteer position. My PF pain is the worst in supportive shoes (Altras) with my Powerstep insert. I must have a wide toe box, so some shoes are not workable for me. Has anyone else experienced this? In the last 2 months, I’ve developed PF pretty bad to where I couldn’t complete my long runs or really run at all. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I know running a personal best is out of the question but What are the odds of rehabbing this so that I can at least run and finish? What should be plan of attack be for treatment? Shared post Bren Loukes A Tad Disappointed!!! I had my two week follow up today where the stitches to my Open Fasciotomy on Aug 11th were to be removed. The doc didn’t feel the healing was ready! Half has healed great but where the curve is - not yet. I need to wear the boot and rest one additional week. I was so excited last night, I didn’t sleep well. Cry, cry, cry me a river! My pain is zero at the incision site. I do have numbness at the bottom of my foot where the heal meets the arch area. The No photo description available. Shared post Amber Mower I just joined this group. I don’t actually have a diagnosis (I don’t have insurance) but I’m quite positive PF is causing my pain. I work a desk job but also own a micro bakery. So I sit a lot and stand a lot. I’m seeing a lot of stretching and strengthening in the group and will definitely be working on those. Is there a shoe you would recommend that could help me in the meantime while working on strengthening?
