Hi! This is my foot two weeks after surgery; and my before and after X-rays - Dr said xray looks ok but swelling above average but still acceptable. Any thoughts anyone ? Super painful bc it’s so swollen and just painful. Is this normal ? I am a horseback rider professionally and need to ride in another 4-6 weeks and I keep hearing stories of people in pain after several months . Is this normal ? Any advice ? Should I be Icing through the entire day ? I haven’t been but

Initially to get back on your feet can be quite quick I was up and about within 4 days once the stitches and pins and pot were removed at 8 weeks the swelling took over which can be horrendous and I panicked a week after that but I’m now 11weeks in back in my old trainers albeit with a bit swelling still but back to normal lifestyle wise work gym and walking everyone is different and the recovery varies depending on where you are uk they want you up as soon as you can which I think helps massively

Comment Gail Scott My daughter is and she told me a month ago that she started with planter fasciitis. She said her left heel was extremely painful too. I noticed her shoe she wears are relatively flat, easy to move around she said. Because I suffer from PF I explained to her more or less what she must do. I’ll see her the end of the month and hear from her if she changed to a different trainer etc.
