I am 11 days out from bunion surgery correction along with a gastroc slide and osteotomy on first & second toe. I have been elevating and icing as much as I can throughout the day. Off the narcotics, but using Tylenol for pain relief as needed.
When seated for a few minutes the foot starts to tingle, then feels heavy & then feels like it is in a vise. Once this happens it is hard to reverse. I have learned to NOT ignore the tingling & to elevate as soon as I feel it coming on.
Just curious for about how long these type of sensations might last? I know healing is different for everyone and we each have variations on surgery, but I wasn’t expecting to have such a problem with sitting up for more 15 minutes at this point or are my expectations just way off
