I am curious. How many of you had something that caused your gait to be off or some kind of leg injury prior to developing the bunion I broke my hip from a bad horse accident 12 years prior, but that caused one leg to be shorter and my PSOAS to become detached. I don’t limp, but my gait was definitely affected . I’m certain that’s what led me to develop plantar fasciitis and I think also the bunions probably, which are mild so far.

Support Group(: What do you all think causes bunions, and what do you think caused yours? Mine aren’t bad, I only really noticed them in spring 2024 when I got PF. In healing that, I’ve also been trying to correct mine with toe spacers. I wear them most of every day. But with a pic if possible, what do you think caused yours?

Low B12 for me. My right foot looks like yours. Big toe and bunionette. Are your feet painful? Any nerve pain. Do you know if your B vitamins are in optimal range?

The bone on the side near the curve actually starts to bows in and causing the bottom of the big toe bone to push out. Therefore only surgery will correct.
