I am doing research on what my next move is. Server plantar fascia since start of year. 8.7mm thickness and a 9mm tear of the plantar fascia. I had to stop work. I have had prp injection, shock wave treatment and cortisone. Nothing worked. I had a mri in march and then in July and there has been no change. As I am not working and have rested it. I can walk around house for a few hours to cook and house work. With no pain. But stil Pamela Lindeback Not sure who this may help but I’m putting it out there. I started swimming, slowly. It was the only thing I could do to not feel pain in moving. Then I started water aerobics in 4’ of water building an invigorating routine. I have worked up to deep water aerobics and my PF foot and joint pain elsewhere has reduced over 50%. Amber Mower I just joined this group. I don’t actually have a diagnosis (I don’t have insurance) but I’m quite positive PF is causing my pain. I work a desk job but also own a micro bakery. So I sit a lot and stand a lot. I’m seeing a lot of stretching and strengthening in the group and will definitely be working on those. Is there a shoe you would recommend that could help me in the meantime while working on strengthening? UpbeatPineapple1963 Hello - I've just joined the group - I've suffered with PF on & off for 6 years now. It started after Lockdown 2020 when I spent 3 months at home in a pair of Crocs! Just looking at a pair of Crocs now hurts my feet! Having read through a lot of posts on here, it appears that most of the members are US based - is that correct? I don't recognise any of the brands recommended etc. Are there any UK members here? Elizabeth Trotter So many talk about how toe spacers have helped them. Two questions: what kind, and when do you wear them? Inside your shoes for regular walking? During exercise? At bedtime? TIA! Sharon Gee I did a search on this site and could not find an answer. What is the best most comfortable house slipper for someone with PF? ElegantLobster4422 I’ve had Plantar Fasciitis since last year beginning on one foot, then the other. It’s been better since then but my left foot (the one that started later) is still painful when I stand. I can walk with my orthotics, but I find that I cannot tolerate standing and most pressure are on my heels and left arch. I have Oofos at home and able to tolerate it with minimal discomfort on my left foot when standing. But I cant wear Oofos outdo Richard Law Got this to try today…. Wonder if it will end up on the pile of other bits I have got previously. Had pain for over 3 months now. Podiatrist says its caused by tight calf muscles which im doing stretching to try help. Wondering if I should book some physio sessions aswell. a day ago a day ago a day ago 2 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Learn More
