In pain since Feb I've given up now and accepted pain Shared post Karen Finklestein I am a teacher and today I went into school to help with a new student activity. I did a ton of walking and after only being there 3 hours I was in a lot of pain! I was in so much pain that the first step getting out of the car was extremely painful! I iced it when I got home, but it's still painful. School starts next week and I'm going to be on my feet a lot! I was just starting to feel better, but that's probably because I haven't been walking very much while on break. I have supportive shoes, but none of the inserts seem to work for me. I'm trying really hard to avoid a cortisone shot because I've had them before and that pain is worse than the current pain. Besides icing and stretching what else have you found that works well? I had a 9.2mm thickness and a 8mm tear of the plantar fascia. We found this out 4 months ago. So i spent 3 months in a moon boot. And 1 month just only on my foot for about 2 hours over the whole day walking around house. Had shock wave and PRP injection done to foot 4 months ago too. The new MRI scan shows no improvement to the plantar fascia and the tear is not fully healed. He said I could do surgery to release the fascia. He said a 85% chance it will work. Or i could sit back and wait to see if it gets better. Has anyone else had surgery and how did it go?? I just got off the phone to my specialist for a 4 month review. Wondering if my doctor should’ve tried prednisone first for inflammation before resorting to shots? Had anyone here had success with just prednisone? Shared post Theresa De Los Santos Been dealing with pain for two years. It was unbearable to manageable now back to unbearable pain ugh all I get is ice it, new shoes, stay off my feet, get shoe inserts. Also PT Ugh. I want it to go away. Shared post Kyrsten Nothwang I just diagnosed with pf and heel spurs in both feet. My right is worse than my left. He didn’t question and put cortisone in both feet right away to ease the pain. I’m on my feet all the time or even walking with very thin racing shoes as I race cars on very rough uneven ground. The pain is slowly coming back already. When I’m home, I try to stay off my feet as much as I can. But I teach pe and it is right around the corner. Thoughts on what to do? I’m doing everything he suggested, stretching, ice water bottle, tens machine, shoes, inserts. Thoughts or any one else’s experience? I just diagnosed with pf and heel spurs in both feet. I see a podiatrist tomorrow to address everything. My orthopedic dr. wanted DME or surgery. No in-between. So needless to say, I'm never seeing that ortho dr again. No photo description available. Shared post Artie Hoffman Heel spurs vs plantar fasciitis? Are the symptoms the same? The fix the same? Sent my physician a detailed message with symptoms thinking it’s classic plantar fasciitis. They responded with “could be heel bone spurs.” Shared post
