Is it common that the Achilles hurts just as bad as the heel when you have plantar fasciitis? I have had plantar fasciitis for almost 3 years now. It has been really bad and very limiting. But now it has gotten even worse. About a month ago, I had a lot of long trips back-and-forth to the hospital due to other kind of illness. I was lying down most of the time. One day after a really long day at the hospital - where I had been in bed almost all day - the pain in my feet got much worse. And even though I have been moving and doing exercises for the last month, it has not gotten any better. Especially the Achilles on both legs are really hurting. It’s like burning pain. Very intense burning all the way to the skin. I have a hard time standing and walking. My heels also hurt. But the pain in the Achilles is really killing me right now. . When I lie on my back it hurts so bad - I can’t even touch the sheets where the tendon is attached on the back side of the heel. How can I help my Achilles to get better? And why has it become so bad from my stay in the hospital? Does anyone else have this very burning pain in the Achilles and around the ankles?

I was in a cast for 1.5 months then boot for another 1.5 mo and developed this horible condition after that. I read less weight and no activity and exercising on feet can cause it. I started acupuncture last week and so far so good!! Perhaps you might want to look into that. 🤷‍♀️

I have both...a good physical therapist will help!!! I haven't been to PT in years because I still do it at home and it helps A LOT!

Psoriatic Arthritis??

That sounds interesting and very sensible. No one has talked about my hips or core. What about shoes? Do you wear flat wide shoes? Or something with a lot of support and raised heel?
