I’ve had this for about 2 years now I’ve tried the ice bottle, stretches and I’ve had shockwaves therapy it’s about 70% gone, the doctor suggested a steroid injection? Is it worth it or not? Shared post Jodie Northcott Firstly, I just need to note that I didn't have any issues with my plantar fascia prior to a traumatic partial rupture from an ankle roll in I had at the start of the year. I've had other issues with the foot 18 months prior (posterior tibial tenosynovitis), and imaging I had before and after that showed a normal plantar. I was placed on three weeks of non weight bearing, followed by another 12 weeks part time cam boot (I'm a chef and my physio cleared me to work with rigid May be an image of bone, xray and text Shared post Troy Majewski Here we go. It’s been about 6 months with acute heel pain in my left foot. I get about 4-6 hours out of it and then I hobble around for the rest of the day in pain. After a couple sessions with a podiatrist I’ve been told it’s PF. I’ve been using Stepprs insoles, and compression socks. Both don’t really help that much. Going to pick up custom orthotics from the Podiatrist this afternoon. Hoping this helps. Shared post Rebecca Hatfield-Haines Just invested in a pair of Brooks Launch shoes. The sales lady at the store was wearing them and she said they had helped her PF. Other than my ingrown toe nails, they are feeling good. I just have some foot fatigue from not normally wearing structured shoes to now wearing more structured shoes. Anyone else have these and find them helpful? Shared post Rebecca Hilliard I’m hoping I don’t have to row back on this but I feel I’ve had a result….I’ve just spent 2+ weeks completely resting. And I mean really resting. I know I’m lucky to have the chance to do that but I’ve been able to do fewer than 500 steps a day. I did the strengthening exercises (plus some for hips/thighs) multiple times a day. I always had an arch support on when walking barefoot (big band of elastic with arch pad). Result: last 3 mo Shared post Alvina Damayanti Has anyone tried Shockwave therapy and was it successful ? Shared post RelaxingGoldfish8425 Anybody familiar with the connection between plantar fasciitis and kidney stones? Shared post Julie Mendell Lumpkin Hi, fellow PF warriors! I’m a few months into this, am in PT and am doing the calf stretches/strengthening and balance and foot exercises. My pain is bearable in my Birkenstocks, but, unfortunately, I can’t wear them at work or in my volunteer position. My PF pain is the worst in supportive shoes (Altras) with my Powerstep insert. I must have a wide toe box, so some shoes are not workable for me. Has anyone else experienced this?
