I’ve read so much about how going more barefoot and less support can help heal plantar fasciitis. I have been wearing the altras and got birkenstocks . Now my foot is worse than ever with a heel spur really painful . Anyone try doing less support and have it make things worse ? Did you stick with it or find relief going back to supported shoes ?

This sucks. I have things to do but my foot and ankle have way different ideas. Grr. Frustrating.

Im not sure, I have tried multiple different brands of shoe inserts and nothing works . The only thing that helps sometimes when Im not on my feet (my 2 days off) are my under armor sandals with memory foam but unfortunately I have to wear tennis shoes only. (My sandals don’t always help either) but sometimes they are helpful. I’ve tried multiple things. Frustrating.
I do stretches before I go to work and after I get home.

Does anyone wear a compression sock or sleeve or something during the day or night? Im looking for something more for during the day. Im constantly on my feet. Found out about 6 years ago I had PF, had an injection, which was okay. I thought my PF was gone for good. But this past year its back in my left foot. (Had in both feet 6 years ago). Hardly have much time to see a doctor since I currently work M-F. Feeling frustrated with so m

I went to the podiatrist yesterday. She diagnosed me with planter fasciitis. She sent me home with only one boot to sleep in, along with directions to call my Dr to see if they’d cover shoe inserts. When I called they said they cover it all after a huge deductible. In which I said so basically it’s not covered. Well I didn’t use the boot and wanted to return it today. They said they don’t accept returns. Also told him this one

Was anyone able to heal themselves while working an active fulltime job? I have started a strengthening program but it is hard because so much of my daily load is already taken up with my job that if I try to do much else outside of work like my exercises I keep getting tipped into flares, it’s frustrating.

Has anyone been able to return to a very active lifestyle?
I’m so fed up with this pain. It’s actually disappeared in my left foot but my PF remains intensely painful in my right foot.
I love sprinting and I haven’t done this for 18 months. I’m not over weight. I’m very strong. I’m healthy….its just so depressing. I’ve tried so much.

Ever since ive been wearing hokas daily for last 3 years my PF has been in remission. Now all of a sudden its back, really bad on right foot. My bondi 9 hokas i bought in the Fall so less than a year old. Seems to new to be already worn out i guess if its causing pain. I got them in wide so plenty of toe box room. I dont want to waste money on shoes and these were expensive. Should I buy another pair? I do find them comfy but I am so
