I got a message from my foot doctor today and he said that we can try PRP injections Or the only other option at this point is a scope. I would be interested in trying the PRP but If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you try the PRP or go directly to having surgery? The scope is definitely a shorter recovery.

Hi all, I’ve been dealing with what has been diagnosed as 2nd MTP capsulitis on the left foot for about 12 months. I went to a specialist and they did a diagnostic ultrasound injection with lidocaine. That took the pain away and took the feeling of walking on a stone away. My toe does not drift, there is no crossover or hammer toe. All physical exams do NOT point to a plantar plate tear/rupter. I can flex the toe with no pain but I do feel some stiffness. MRIs haven’t shown anything but possible inflammation. I’m wearing Hoka Bondi 8 with met. pads behind mtp heads and wearing Correct Toes toe spacers. What really took the pain away last year between February 14th and April 14th 2024 I wore a boot full time and iced two times a day. I showered with a shower chair. Currently I don’t have pain, but I still have that feeling of walking on a small pebble at the base of the 2nd met. head. For a second opinion, I also saw a Dr. that conducted an ultrasound and thought I may have flexor tenosynovitis. Has anyone ever recovered from either flexor tenosynovits or capsulitis and if so, how long does this really take? This is been the most frustrating injury I’ve ever had. I ha e scoured the web andd from all accounts, recovery seems to be all over the place. Thank you.

Any suggestions what I can do to help Mum with a crossover toe? She is 83 so surgery won’t be an option. It’s the 2nd toe crossing over the big. TIA

Update! So I’m officially fed up with my feet and everyone. I went to the ER today and the Dr took a Quick Look at my feet and told me to just wait for my appointment April 3rd and that they “don’t do MRI’s” so based off this I’m most likely losing my NEW JOB. I work Monday-Fri and I can work like one day for 4 hours and then my feet hurt and that’s if I PUSH myself. So basically I’m screwed. My plans for paying off my car, moving out, getting an ESA puppy, all thrown away until this gets fixed or I somehow bare through the unbearable pain. (I’m so peeved and exhausted so excuse my angry rant this time) Thank you for all the advice and everything you all suggested.❤️

Left foot is more over pronated than right. Some minor pain on left heel and the slippage is crazy. Have tried numerous insoles. Nothing works. Any suggestions?

Anyone else have/had a bone spur on their metatarsal? Ive been dealing with it for over 4 years and I am starting to get sharp shooting pains when I walk in that area. Affecting a nerve or something else? If youve been treated for one what was the treatment and outcome?
