Ok, another question about Birkenstocks! I’m finding my Arizonas really help my Achilles tendonitis and peroneal tendonitis (I loosened up the top strap and they are finally getting comfy!) and I do think they help my PF as well. My question is - do they help to strengthen your feet? It feels like you have to “grip” a bit with your toes which is similar to some of the strengthening exercises they had me do at PT. Will this help? I’ve found overstretching has done a lot of damage and strengthening seems to be the most helpful so I am hopeful this may help! Thoughts? See less

Yes they certainly work for me, just got my second pair, they're my go-tos around the garden and on holiday or doing diy . They're better for your feet than Crocs or squishy flip flops . If your comfy in them this is a good sign that your feet are no to sensitive. I use in a combination with vevobarefoot, and just bare foot. I'm 2+ years. Back running of sorts.

I have been trying to wear Birkenstocks as house shoes and I’m running into some issues. I have pain in my left metatarsal area when wearing them (left foot is the “problem” foot, though both do bother me). They help my PF and Achilles tendonitis significantly so I want to get through the metatarsal pain issue. Will it go away? I’m noticing the wear pattern already seems to look like I’m putting a lot more weight through my toes on my right foot but not my left. Is it something about my stride pattern that’s the issue? Any way to fix that? Thanks for any help!! See less

Churchwell How tight is the top strap? If i try to wear mine too tightly or try to wear a narrow footbed it can cause metataursal pain for me.

Maybe tighten or loosen the strap if you can, my Birkenstocks were and still are the most comfortable shoe to wear

Ok, Birkenstock people, help me out here. I made a post recently about how Birkenstock Arizonas seem to be significantly helping my PF and peroneal / Achilles tendonitis. However, after about two weeks of gradually increasing wear, I’m running into some issues. My left foot (has always been the “problem foot”) was bothering me where the buckle is on the top ankle strap, like the buckle was digging. So I loosened the strap - which at f

Lemon Same when I started. Once I focused on really strengthening my feet that all improved. Try gripping with your toes when you walk and spread them after each step. A few days you will notice the difference. I loosens the front top strap one hole. Kept

I like the Mayari better than the Arizona. Birkenstocks helped get rid of my PF along with lots of foot and calf stretches
