Question, has anyone gone through similar experience, i am on 9 months of pf in my left foot, recent MRI shows small tear. I have been wearing Hoka Bondi 9 which helped from the beginning but now i think they are holding me back so i bought ALTRA Men's Escalante 4 wide toe box. I am already doing tons of other things, lost 20lbs, PT weekly, daily stretching and strength. Is it a good idea to switch shoes now considering the small tear?

I’m not a doctor, but my thinking is that if it isn’t causing more pain, you’re not re-injuring it or otherwise over doing it. Lower drop shoes, like altras, will help strengthen the feet compared to cushiony, higher drop types like Hokas, so I would think that this switch would be good as long as your foot is ready for it.

I was buying at target , now I have discovered / the dollar store is as good as the name brand . I was taking my foot for about $2 dlrs . A day and now it’s less expensive.
