Update on my plantar fasciitis!!

Archive date 45 archived replies

Update on my plantar fasciitis!! I went to the doctor and she asked what my pain level was on a scale of 1-10, and I told her a 12 (I wasn’t lying)! She ended up giving me some pain meds, a night splint, stretches, and some recommendations for good shoes. I asked her about working out and she said only low-impact exercises. It’s day one and my foot feels a thousand times better. I pray I get more relief by next week because i really want to get back to my routine!

I just got back from dr. Pain level 6. Gave me a list of stretches for each morning, suggested 3 inexpensive orthotics and Tylenol. Come back in 4 weeks. Let's see how this goes. Good luck on your recovery.

Night splints helped me more than anything.

The best thing I did was weekly deep foot massages!!!!!

Proceed carefully so you don't do too much too soon. I did that and ended up with a tear. Now my recovery will be much longer.

Stretching micro tears always seemed completely bonkers to me 🤣

Compression stockings daily! Especially in the cold weather months.

I can still do low impact classes at the gym and strength training. What i can't do is what I love the most-hike!

ive had best luck with 2 bromaline twice a day when I was at worst. Take on empty stomach. Advil didnt do much for me

These are the stretches I was given

Don't rush the healing. If you try to do something oto soon, you will cause more damage and be unable to be active even longer.

Look up Dr. Angela on YouTube. I’m almost pain free at 3 months.

I wear one to work every day until I go to bed and it doesn’t help 🙁 At this point I wear it just to keep my ankle from twisting

so sorry! I wear mine at bedtime as well. It’s helps with the first step. I also wear a stretch boot 20 min at bedtime. I know everyone’s pain is different because of the various stages of PF.
