On May 21 while camping, my awning blew off and damaged the top vent and moon roof covers. I am working through an RV claim with State Farm and am a bit tentative about a proper resolution. Their closest preferred shop is 75 miles away. Therefore, I went to the local RV dealer and got an estimate for $3800.00. State Farm's estimate, done through a third party from their desk sent me an estimate for $385.00 including my $100 deductible. They set a five-day deadline for me to digitally accept their check. I am down to one day or apparently that offer is off the table. I was always told once you cash the check from insurance, you may not have any more recourse. I spoke with the local agent who said the rest of the money can be claimed through a supplemental claim which makes no sense to me. I have had auto claims in the past and supplemental claims are for items not discovered during the original estimate. I would appreciate anyone's advice and opinion on the matter. See less

First of all, I own an RV. No way in hell will $385 cover all of that to repair. Another reason STF sucks. Erie would never do this. In fact, neither would Foremost. They’re awesome with claims on toys. Dump big red

have questions? Get Answers! Gwen Taraya I just got the MIB surgery yesterday and I am home now. My bunion progressed so bad that my big toe is touching the middle toe and the 2nd toe sitting on top, spacers help relieve but to some extent only. All went well and the medical team is fantastic! Im now focusing on recovery. I was asleep during the procedure (general anaesthesia) and was given nerve block. Surgery commenced 2:30pm. I was woken up at 4:20pm in recovery room to tell me it was all done. I was oblivious! I was freaking out about the surgery for no reason, reading too much internet will play tricks in your mind. Its almost 24 hrs post op and I can weight bear as tolerated with some crutches. Im getting on top of pain management strictly following dr’s orders. My BP drops so I am light headed, i needed to be supervised when going to toilet to avoid falls. I am a triathlete and running with bunion is a torture. My coach who is now in his 70’s had MIBS in 2024 to both his feet, he’s back training in just a couple of months post op (he just finished another ironman this year). I am permitted to go back swim training once my wounds are healed, and then slowly progressing back to cycling (unclipping bike shoes will be a challenge) then last get back to running. Hopefully my recovery goes well See less

Egolf I had a good experience too. I wish I would have done it a long time ago. The first week little rough but after it is worth it.
