Shared post Donald Jason Gonzalez Ive been dealing with foot pain for about 16-17 years. Went to the doctor a few times and they all said, " take some Tylenol and you'll be fine". Finally around the time covid started I got a doctor who took me seriously and ran some tests. Turns out I have a bad case of heel spurs in both feet. They said they didnt recommend surgery, but instead gave me a shot. Within a day the swelling was gone and I could walk normally again. Its like I had a new lease on life. I could walk, run, climb...everything. it was amazing. After 6 months I went to get my next a shot. It it wasn't as effective. I told the doctor it didn't last as long. They just said they'd give me another. and so it went.. each shot afterwards lasted less and less and the doctor didnt seem to care.The last shot did absolutely nothing. I Got a new doctor and he told me the shots will no longer work because my foot is shot. I think he said my tendons were shredded. Of course he didn't run any tests, he just took a guess. He prescribed some shoe inserts that were gonna cost me almost a thousand out of pocket because my insurance wouldn't cover it. The doctor who measured my foot said in all honest she didnt think it may not even make a difference. So im asking if anyone on here has a similar problem and could offer any suggestions. I'd like to find a cheaper insert that would help. I see alot advertised online for less, but I dont know what to order. I need something to cushion my heel while lifting and supporting my arches. I have Morton’s toe and flat feet which means my second and third toe joint are what strikes first and no arch to support and I’ve had chronic stress fractures because of it. I don’t have insurance right now and I’m trying to find a good insert I can put in my shoes so I can exercise without causing too much pain. Hoping not too expensive. I've been dealing with these issues for about 7 years now, I've been to my PCP multiple times due to insurance rules, I've seen a neurologist that just didn't listen at all. I think I seen him 3 times and may have actually seen him a total of 3 minutes, no joke! I've seen a neuro surgeon, he had like 6 MRI's ran from my head to my bum, he finally threw up his hands and said he had no idea what was wrong. These are the things going on: my legs and feet hurt non stop, if I put my chin to my chest, it's like an electrical current runs down my legs to my feet and if I'm standing it's all I can do to stay on my feet. My balance just keeps getting worse everyday. This happens only when I'm sleeping, I wake up multiple times at night and from my waist down to my feet, it literally feels like my skin is on fire. I have to get out of bed and have the fan blowing on my bed to cool my sheets down. And before anyone ask no this is not a hot flash! I've now developed these squishy bumps on my 2nd & 3rd toes on my left foot, where they come out from my foot, they do not hurt, but they are getting bigger, I had the same bumps come up on my right foot on my 3rd & 4th toes, but after a week they went away. This past week both ankles have been hurting pretty bad as well. Also my feet swell. Hope someone has some idea as to what's going on. Thanks for reading. This might be a long post. I’ve got so many questions and don’t even know where to start. I’ve been dealing with major issues in both feet for over 4 years and is only getting worse. It all started after I got out of the hospital from covid. It started out just being sensitive to touch and just got worse I’ve gone to foot doctors. He’s taking an x-ray. Couldn’t find anything. Says it may be arthritis. Says it may be neuropathy. That is sent over to a heart specialist because I wasn’t getting the proper blood flow coming back up from my feet so I go over there. Heart doctor says he could fix me 100%. So he wanted me to have an  ablation (if I said that right) done in both legs I get it done. Didn’t help. (nothing new ) Had a MRI on my back and of course there’s a lot going on there. So I’m sent over to a Pain Specialist to get injections in my lower back which helped the back pain just didn’t help anything for the feet  then I get sent to a nerve doctor. Then he tells me I have a dead nerve. The only thing that would help is to have surgery. So I thought about everything that I’ve been through and decided not to have surgery. Nothing they have done or said has helped. Been on all kinds of different types of medication. Nothing has helped. I was taking duloxetine apparently that kind of sort of helped because now that I stopped taking it, my feet has gotten worse. There were always cold burning, shooting pains in my toes and the arches feels like I’m walking on sharp rocks or Boulder at times the only time they don’t hurt is when I’m laying flat in bed sleeping. But now that I’m not taking that medicine, it’s been keeping me up at night burning. I’m just lost, and don’t have insurance any more and don’t know what to do. Anybody else on here experience the same? Sorry for the long rant, but I can go on and on.
