Frustrated. A friend referred me to a large orthopedic office. Was seen by a podiatrist instead of an ortho Dr. They took X-rays. Podiatrist came in, glanced at X-rays, pushed on my heel. Advised I have plantar fasciitis and pronation. He said he’ll give me cortisone injections and orthotic shoe inserts. I asked about PRP therapy or peptides (like the poster in their lobby). He said those don’t work. I said it seems like most who get cortisone’s get temporary relief, and some report it’s even worse after. He said you came in for my opinion. Come back if you want injections, got up and left. See less

I’d find another clinic and leave a bad review online.

Go to a different Dr.

Going to Dr. for the first time tomorrow but until then… of course my heel is extremely tender in the morning. What’s actually more concerning to me is that the outside / back side of my ankle buckles and sort of collapses when I bear weight on it at times in the morning. I’ll take a step but then my ankle kinda gives out under weight. Looking for insight, strengthening exercises, etc from anyone who has experienced a decline in the function and stability in their ankle in relation to PF. See less

I have ankle pain and weakness in fact this worse than the PF and makes me not able to walk properly as it really hurt when weight shifts on to be left left leg. I am not sure if the ankle issue has caused the PF to flare or the other way around. For years I've had a weak and tender ankle On waking in the morning but nothing that didn't right itself after a few steps. But for 3 weeks now my left foot feels like it's broken at times.

Curious if anyone has tried PRP Therapy and how that worked out?

After three months, it has reduced pain by 90-95%.

I did! I went from unable to walk especially in the morning to being mobile. It took about 6 months and I did shockwave therapy twice a week as well.

Kit Bell Lemon Yes! . Yay glad you got some relief. I finally got relief after 14 months by getting massages every two weeks. Then I later developed it in my other foot only not as bad. Still doing massages and keeping it at bay
